Top Pick

1. Minnesota Vikings (-6) vs. Chi – The turn back to Jay Cutler means nothing. Chicago is in a state of turmoil and can’t wait to get the season over with. Minnesota has grown under 1st year HC Mike Zimmer and will finish out the season with a bang at home. Look for the Vikings to win by 10 and cover the point spread.

Next

2. Green Bay Packers (-7.5) vs. Det – Some may call last week a trap game for the Lions, but not us. That’s typical Matt Stafford being unable to capitalize on things given to him. The Packers will be ready in a game with a ton of meaning and look for a double digit win.

3. New York Giants (-3) vs. Phi – The Eagles three-game losing streak knocked them out of playoff contention and means this game has little meaning. Well, it has more for the Giants who are playing a number of young players on their three-game winning streak. Look for that to move to four as the Odell Beckham Jr. show continues against a horrendous secondary.

4. Cincinnati Bengals (+3.5) vs. Pit – See money line bet.

Rounding Things Out

Carolina Panthers (+4) vs. Atl – This will be close but Cam Newton will be the difference.

San Diego Chargers (+3) vs. KC – Win and they’re in. Look for the Chargers to beat their rival.

Dallas Cowboys (-5.5) vs. Was – Dallas needs to win first and then get a lot of help for a No. 1 or 2 seed. There will not be a letdown here.

Money Line Bet

Cincinnati Bengals (+170) vs. Pit – The Steelers are very talented on offense but erratic. This is a game which could catch them by surprise. The Bengals move to RB Jeremy Hill as the starter has been a boon to the offense and they will continue to ride their young horse Sunday. Everything else feeds off of this. The Bengals D is also much improved since their last contest after getting a few guys back.

It’s onto week 11 of the NFL suicide pool. There aren’t many top options remaining for many. Here is our top three NFL suicide pool picks for Week 11 picking from the less obvious choices:

Top Pick

1. Cleveland Browns vs. Hou – Typically you might worry about a letdown after their big win vs. the Bengals on Thursday. But that won’t happen here. The Texans start QB Ryan Mallett which creates uncertainty facing a defense on the upswing.

Next

2. Carolina Panthers vs. Atl – Cam Newton and Co. got embarrassed on MNF. Thankfully for them they get the Falcons at home this Sunday. Expect a sloppy game which the Panthers pull out by at least a TD.

3. Washington Redskins vs. TB – The Bucs can do no right this year. They have a few talented spots on the roster but are razor thin in the middle. They’re also lacking a QB. All of that equals another loss when they head to Washington.

1. New Orleans Saints (-10) vs. Min – An 0-2 team doesn’t usually warrant being a 10 point favorite. This is not your typical 0-2 team, and they’re back at home where they bury teams. The Vikings will get blown out in this one.

Next

2. San Francisco 49ers (-2.5) vs. Arz – The 49ers will get back to doing what they do best and that’s running the ball and not letting Colin Kaerpernick fling it around the field. Rather, they will run a methodical offense and the defense should be fine facing QB Drew Stanton, the likely starter.

3. Miami Dolphins (-3.5) vs KC – This would normally be viewed as a trap game, but we don’t see it here. The Chiefs are desperate to avoid an 0-3 start but the good fortune that propelled them to a 9-0 start a year ago is not there. Miami is tough at home and will prove so again on Sunday.

4. Washington Redskins (+7) vs. Phi – See money line bet.

Rounding Things Out

Indianapolis Colts (-7) vs. Jax – They’re still the Jags.

Buffalo Bills (-2.5) vs. SD – Buffalo plays tough in their home park.

Denver Broncos (+5) vs. Sea – The Seahawks will win, but this will be much closer than the Super Bowl.

Money Line Bet

Washington Redskins (+240) vs. Phi – The Eagles are a lot more vulnerable than people realize. They were unimpressive against the Jags and then fortunate to beat the Colts on some shaky calls. The Redskins are rejuvenated playing under Kirk Cousins and will steal a close game late in the Linc.

The Chiefs will have little problems taking WR TY Hilton out of the game and the Colts passing game will struggle as it did when WR Reggie Wayne went down. Look for KC to go into Indy and win by four.

3. New Orleans Saints (+2.5) vs. Phi – The Eagles are likely the safer bet, as playing outside and in the cold gives them the advantage. However, the Eagles have hardly been blowing teams out over their impressive final stretch and the Saints offense matches up well vs. this Philadelphia D. Look for a close game and one in which the Saints cover.

4. San Francisco 49ers (-3) vs. GB – The return of QB Aaron Rodgers is a HUGE boost for this Packers team, but games played in ridiculously cold weather usually favor the team that can line up and out physical the group across from it. Although GB has a big advantage in the passing game, and RB Eddie Lacy is a dimension they haven’t had in a while, the 49ers are the more complete team and will pull off the win by more than a FG on Sunday.

1. Carolina Panthers vs. NYJ – Geno Smith will be facing an angry D.

2. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oak – Look for the Chiefs top effort a week ago to transfer over to this week.

3. San Francisco 49ers vs. TB – The 49ers facing a rookie QB will mean a top fantasy effort.

4. Seattle Seahawks vs. NYG – Seattle will force three turnovers in NY.

Not far behind

New Orleans Saints vs. Stl. – Rob Ryan’s aggressive scheme will keep the Saints scoring low.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Min – Philly is playing consistent ball on D and is likely to face the Vikings without RB Adrian Peterson.

Miami Dolphins vs. NE – The Patriots psyche will be tested minus their biggest offensive weapon.

Rounding things out

Arizona Cardinals vs. Ten – The Cards are slightly behind the top tier due to this being played on the road.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pit – The Bengals D will force multiple turnovers vs. Big Ben.

Buffalo Bills vs. Jax – Look for the Bills to force a few turnovers and sack Chad Henne 3 times.

St Louis Rams vs. No – The Saints have struggled on the road this year.

Potential Bust – Beware

Baltimore Ravens vs. Det – This is in Detroit where the Lions are a much different team.

Last week saw a few minor upsets (the reeling Eagles crushed the Raiders, the Saints lost to the Jets as did the Packers to the Bears). There were other near misses too (see Dallas vs. Min). For those still alive, these are our top three NFL suicide pool picks.

Top Pick

1. New Orleans Saints vs. Dal – The Saints are a much different team at home than on the road. While the Cowboys are likely to get DE / LB DeMarcus Ware back, they’re still banged up defensively and that will be their undoing on Sunday Night. Look for the Saints to win by a TD.

Next

2. Arizona Cardinals vs. Hou – The Cardinals are well-rested coming off the bye and get the Texans after a crushing loss to the Colts. Look for a close game, but one that the Cardinals will win thanks to its aggressive defense.

3. Tennessee Titans vs. Jax – The Jags very likely will not win a game in 2013. And they’ll get crushed by the Titans this week.

Last week did not bring many surprises with it, and so we move on to Week 8 of the NFL Suicide Pool.

Top Pick

1. New Orleans Saints vs. Buf – The Saints are coming off a bye after a heart breaking loss to the Patriots in the final seconds.

They’re well rested and will dismantle a decent Bills team on Sunday. Look for the Saints aggressive defense to force a few turnovers and for Drew Brees and the offense to put 30 on the scoreboard.

Next

2. Carolina Panthers vs. TB – If you still have not used the Panthers, now is a good time. The Buccaneers are a complete mess and HC Greg Schiano is inching closer to receiving a pink slip. Look for the Panthers and their aggressive defense to go into Tampa and win by double digits, easily covering the point spread.

3. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cle – The undefeated Chiefs will move to 8-0 after Jason Campbell and Co. leave town. The Browns have regressed defensively and their offense has become pitiful with the return to QB Brandon Weeden. QB Jason Campbell may be slightly better, but he is not mobile and that will be a detriment facing the attacking Chiefs D. Look for a 20-7 type win for Kansas City this week.
