Must Start

Calvin Johnson, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas

Tier 1

Jordy Nelson vs. Buf – The Bills cover than people think.

Odell Beckham vs. Was – The superstar rookie will abuse the Skins secondary.

Alshon Jeffery vs. NO – He instantly becomes a top tier No. 1 with Brandon Marshall out.

TY Hilton vs. Hou – Hilton went over 200 yards in their last game. Look for another solid effort.

AJ Green vs. Cle – Joe Haden usually plays Green tough.

Roddy White vs. Pit – Expect the Falcons to have success in the air.

Emmanuel Sanders vs. SD – The Chargers feature a top 10 pass D but Sanders put up 3 TDs and 100 yards in their 1st outing.

Mike Evans vs. Car – The rookie is still on a tear. That will continue against the Panthers.

Jeremy Maclin vs. Dal – Maclin should own the Cowboys D.

Tier 2

DeAndre Hopkins vs. Ind – Hopkins has a decided advantage when CB Vontae Davis isn’t covering him.

Sammy Watkins vs. GB – The previously stingy Packers pass D looked atrocious Monday Night.

Randall Cobb vs. Buf – He might have more success than Nelson.

Keenan Allen vs. Den – Allen plays well against the Broncos.

Julian Edleman vs. Mia – Solid play in PPR leagues.

Kenny Stills vs. Chi – Stills threw in a stinker in Week 14. Chicago is a much more favorable matchup.

Josh Gordon vs. Cin – Going with Johnny Manziel will impact Gordon’s standing.

Steve Smith vs. Jax – Smith will have a field day against the lowly Jags.

Pierre Garcon vs. NYG – Jackson’s injury improves Garcon’s value.

Bust

Michael Crabtree vs. Sea – Kaepernick is struggling mightily and this is not the defense to get back on track.

Fantasy Sleeper

Martavis Bryant vs. Atl – His deep speed is deadly and the Falcons don’t cover well.

1. Calvin Johnson, Det – Top FFL WR once again.

2. Dez Bryant, Dal – Look for the Cowboys to be passing a ton in 2014, and Bryant to benefit tremendously.

3. AJ Green, Cin – As Dalton improves, Green will too. Dominant No. 1 in FFL.

4. Demaryius Thomas, Den – Thomas would rank No. 2 if not for the other receiving threats Den has.

5. Julio Jones, Atl – Expect a fully healthy Jones to finish top 3 by end of the season.

6. Brandon Marshall, Chi – The Bears will air it out this year.

8. Antonio Brown, Pit – He’s a strong No. 1 in PPR leagues. Could reach 100 catches this year.

9. Alshon Jeffery, Chi – Jeffery may be better than Marshall now.

10. Vincent Jackson, TB – Things will be much different now that Schiano is gone.

1. Calvin Johnson vs. Chi – The Bears have given up a lot of yards and TDs to opposing WRs.

2 Julio Jones vs. NE – The Patriots have NO ONE who can stay with Jones.

3. Demaryius Thomas vs. Phi – The Eagles secondary gets torched on a weekly basis.

4. Dez Bryant vs. SD – The Chargers will get torched by Dez to the tune of 125 yards and a TD.

Not too far behind

Reggie Wayne vs. Jax – It’s the Jags, who get steamrolled by everyone.

Brandon Marshall vs. Det – The Bears will attack the Lions through the air.

AJ Green vs. Cle – The match-up is tough but Green’s performed well vs. the Browns and CB Joe Haden over his career.

Rounding things out

Vincent Jackson vs. Arz – There are lots of problems in Tampa, but Jackson is not one of them.

Victor Cruz vs. KC – Things all depend on the Giants O Line. If Eli’s given time, Cruz will shine.

Wes Welker vs. Phi – Welker is excellent in fantasy PPR leagues and could reach the end zone 1-2 times.

Antonio Brown vs. Min – The Vikings pass D is horrible.

Pierre Garcon vs. Oak – The Skins will target Garcon for a big afternoon in the black hole.

Desean Jackson vs. Den – His speed will earn him a 50 yard + TD.

Torrey Smith vs. Buf – This may be the game he finally gets into the end zone.

Josh Gordon vs. Cin – He had a tremendous first game back and the Bengals have give up big plays.

Mike Wallace vs. NO – The Fins will find Wallace a mismatch for the Saints all night.

Wes Welker vs. Phi – The Broncos will throw all over the Eagles porous secondary.

Hakeem Nicks vs. KC – See Cruz. If the O Line blocks, Nicks will be fine.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. TB – Expect Fitz to remain more of a No. 2 this week. Revis will likely line up against him.

Dwayne Bowe vs. NYG – The Giants secondary was torched in Week 3. Bowe was silent away but expect that to change.

Marques Colston vs. Mia – He will be the main receiving threat outside of Graham for the Saints on MNF.

Nate Burleson vs. Chi – This is a flex play due to the horrendous Bears pass D.

Potential Bust – Beware

Andre Johnson vs. Sea – Not only is he slightly banged up, but he’s facing the best CB in the NFL right now.

1. Calvin Johnson vs. Was – The Skins D cannot cover. Megatron got back on track with 2 TDs in Week 2.

2 .Demaryius Thomas vs. Oak – Expect Thomas to top 125 yards with a TD on Monday Night.

3. AJ Green vs. GB – The speedy receiver will torch the Packers secondary for a huge afternoon.

4. Dez Bryant vs. Stl – He and Romo got back on track in Week 2. This is another strong match-up for Bryant.

Not far behind

Julio Jones vs. Mia – Jones comes off a monster day and Atlanta will be throwing often on Sunday. 100+ yards and 1-2 TDs.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. NO – Expect Fitz to hook up with Palmer for a score or two vs. the Saints.

Randall Cobb vs. Cin – Look for GB to move him around and target him 8-10 times for a big Week 3.

Rounding things out

Andre Johnson vs. Bal – The Texans will need to move the ball through the air this week. Make sure he is obviously cleared first from the concussion he suffered last week.

Victor Cruz vs. Car – He will provide fits for the depleted Panthers secondary.

Vincent Jackson vs. NE – His speed will prove too much for the Patriots.

Eddie Royal vs. Ten – Royal’s career has been reborn in ’13. Ride the hot hand.

Dwayne Bowe vs. Phi – The Eagles secondary is highly suspect.

Mike Wallace vs. Atl – Wallace’s speed will be good enough for 100 yards and a TD.

Stevie Johnson vs. NYJ – Manuel and Johnson have developed strong rapport early on. Expect Johnson to score a long TD at Metlife, where he always plays well.

Desean Jackson vs. KC – Kelly’s scheme is utilizing Jackson’s speed and yielding dividends. If CB Brandon Flowers is limited, look for Jackson to have a big night.

Hakeem Nicks vs. Car – Nicks makes his homecoming and will find the end zone for the 1st time this year.

Tavon Austin vs. Dal – The rookie found the end zone twice in Week 2. Expect a 3rd trip against Big D.

Pierre Garcon vs. Det – The Lions DBs are susceptible to speedy receivers.

Anquan Boldin vs. Ind – Boldin will get back on track this week and is a solid No. 2, especially in PPR leagues. The Colts secondary will have trouble with the physical WR.

Marques Colston vs. Arz – The Cards cover well, but Colston is a No. 2 / flex play at home.

Kendall Wright vs. SD – Appears to be Locker’s top target. The Chargers DBs have trouble with speed.

Antonio Brown vs. Chi – The Bears are giving up a lot more big plays defensively than in recent years.

Reggie Wayne / TY Hilton vs. SF – The 49ers main weakness is its pass D. Expect both Colts receivers to have solid games.

Jordy Nelson vs. Cin – The Packers will be throwing the ball all day.

Torrey Smith vs. Hou – Smith is a low No. 2/ flex play, but has the speed to hurt the Texans secondary.

Potential Bust – Beware

Brandon Marshall vs. Pit – The Steelers cover well, and typically take away the opponent’s top WR.

Cream of the crop

1. Calvin Johnson vs. Min – 150 yards and 2 TDs? Why not, the Vikings have no one that can cover him.

2. Julio Jones vs. NO – Can you name the Saints starting CBs? We can’t either. Jones will explode on Sunday.

3. Andre Johnson vs. SD – Johnson will be able to do whatever he wants against this downtrodden secondary.

4. Dez Bryant vs. NYG –Bryant has been a Giants’ killer over his career.

Not far behind

Roddy White vs. NO – He should be healthy, and if so, in your starting lineup.

Demaryius Thomas vs. Bal – He’s a threat to break a long one on opening night.

AJ Green vs. Chi – The Bears have a talented secondary, but very few can stop Green.

Rounding things out

Vincent Jackson vs. NYJ – Expect Jackson to get the best of Cromarite and the Jets secondary in Week 1.

Hakeem Nicks vs. Dal – Nicks is fully healthy and will be back to his old self.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. Stl – The upgrade at QB will push Fitzgerald’s numbers back to the top.

Reggie Wayne vs. Oak – The Colts will have their way with the Raiders secondary on opening night.

Antonio Brown vs. Ten – The Titans haven’t done much to shore up their secondary.

Victor Cruz vs. Dal – The foot will not be a problem. Cruz will be a menace over the middle in this one.

Brandon Marshall vs. Cin – Cutler’s No. 1 guy will be targeted frequently in week 1 but faces a tough test.

Marques Colston vs. Atl – Slow and steady, Colston keeps producing. And the Falcons secondary is nothing special.

Anquan Boldin vs. GB – The Packers D will be in for a long day at the Stick.

Randall Cobb vs. SF – The Packers ability (or inability) to block up front will determine Cobb’s success.

James Jones vs. SF – Jones is a bit of a fantasy sleeper, but as the No. 3 threat, he could find the end zone and top 75 yards.

Torrey Smith vs. Den – Smith burned Champ Bailey in the post season and Bailey’s not getting any faster if he is even able to go.

Danny Amendola vs. Buf – The Patriots newest version of Wes Welker will torch the Bills.

Wes Welker vs. Bal – Lining up in the slot could earn Welker the most looks on Thursday night.

Mike Wallace vs. Cle –Wallace is familiar with this defense from his years in Pittsburgh.

Greg Jennings vs. Det – Ponder’s newest receiver will pay dividends vs. the Lions.

TY Hilton vs. Oak – The Colts other threat outside will torch the Raiders depressing secondary.

Pierre Garcon vs. Phi – Have you seen the Eagles DBs? Garcon should top 100 yards with a TD.

DeSean Jackson vs. Was – The secondary is a concern for the Skins.

Golden Tate vs. Car – Look for him to thrive most with Harvin out.

Dwayne Bowe vs. Jax – Look for Bowe to quickly become Smith’s top target.

Travon Austin vs. Arz – The Rams will move Austin all over the field and get him the ball multiple ways.

Cecil Shorts vs. KC – Expect him to pick up where he left off last year and is a solid No. 2 / flex play in the opener.

Beware

Steve Smith vs. Sea – The Seahawks DBs are physical and cover exceptionally well.

1. Calvin Johnson, Det – Even an off-year by Stafford statistically couldn’t derail Megatron, who broke the all-time receiving record for yards.

2. AJ Green, Cin – The 3rd year for Green should be even better after his breakout a year ago. The Bengals have added more weapons which will ease the double teams he sees.

3. Dez Bryant, Dal - If Bryant can pick up where he left off, he has the ability to finish the top fantasy football receiver this year.

4. Julio Jones, Atl – Jones is a big-time star and one of the best deep threats in the league. Expect another major step forward this year.

5. Demaryius Thomas, Den – Manning’s top deep threat will score 12-15 TDs and top 1,500 yards.

6. Brandon Marshall, Chi - Expect Marhsall to continue posting top numbers in Trestman’s system.

7. Larry Fitzgerald, Arz – His stock is on the rise again now that a real QB is on the team. Fitzgerald still has the ability to finish a top 3 fantasy – and NFL – receiver.

8. Randall Cobb, GB - The multi-threat Cobb is a boom or bust pick. However, with Greg Jennings gone, he will be the biggest beneficiary of those extra passes.

9. Vincent Jackson, TB - He’s a big time threat and fortunately plays in a division that doesn’t feature many quality cover corners.

10. Roddy White, Atl – He is not ranked this low due to a loss of skill, but rather all of the talent around him. But he is still a solid No. 1 fantasy receiver.

3. Dez Bryant vs. NO – Two hands or one, Dez is on a roll.

4. Demaryius Thomas vs. Cle – He and Peyton Manning will connect on another long TD in this one.

Next

Roddy White vs. Det – Look for White to also torch the Lions this week.

AJ Green vs. Pit – The Steelers are down a few CBs.

Andre Johnson vs. Min – Johnson will continue his hot play.

The Rest

Randall Cobb vs. Ten – Rodgers and Cobb will get back on the same page in this one.

Marques Colston vs. Dal – He’ll be targeted heavily vs. Dallas.

Brandon Marshall vs. Arz – He is the ONLY guy getting targeted in Chicago’s offense.

Steve Smith vs. Oak – The Raiders D doesn’t cover too well.

Stevie Johnson vs. Mia – Look for another trip to the end zone here.

Pierre Garcon vs. Phi – The Eagles secondary won’t keep up with Garcon.

Mike Wallace vs. Cin – Roethlisberger will attack the Bengals deep.

Hakeem Nicks vs. Bal – Nicks is getting healthier at the right time.

Victor Cruz vs. Bal – Cruz will find the end zone here.

Wes Welker vs. Jax – The Jags won’t be able to keep Welker held down.

Vincent Jackson vs. Stl – He’ll top 100 yards with a TD this week.

Must Start

1. Andre Johnson vs. Jax – Week 1 showed Johnson’s back in top form and healthy.

2. Roddy White vs. Den – White played 2nd fiddle to Julio Jones on opening day. Look for him to shine on Sunday Night.

3. Calvin Johnson vs. SF – He’s a nightmare matchup even against the best D in the league.

4. Julio Jones vs. Den – The 2nd year player will break out on Sunday Night.

Next

Brandon Marshall vs. GB – Week 1 showed the Bears passing game should be potent in Lambeau.

Jordy Nelson vs Chi – If Jennings is unable to go, Nelson instantly rises on the charts. Start Jennings if he can go too.

Dez Bryant vs. Sea – Bryant will get the best of the Seahawks DBs in Week 2.

The Rest

Hakeem Nicks vs. TB – He’s much closer to being back to full speed after his summer injury. Look for big things vs. the Bucs.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. NE – Kevin Kolb doesn’t inspire trust but he does look Fitzgerald’s way often.

Stevie Johnson vs. KC – The Chiefs DBs are hurt and were torched in Week 1. Look for Johnson to top 100 yards with a score.

AJ Green vs. Cle – Expect a BIG game from the 2nd year receiver. Matchup is even better with CB Haden out.

Mike Wallace vs. NYJ – Wallace will torch the Jets when Cromartie lines up against him.

Michael Crabtree vs. Det – There’s a lot of plays to be had against the Lions secondary.

Victor Cruz vs. TB – Cruz will atone for his Week 1 drops vs. the Bucs.

Vincent Jackson vs. NYG – The Giants DBs looked vulnerable to the big play on opening night.

DeMaryius Thomas vs. Atl – Manning’s new favorite big play target will get deep for the 2nd consecutive game on Monday Night.

Dwayne Bowe vs. Buf – The Bills DBs were horrendous in Week 1. .

Jeremy Maclin vs. Bal – The Eagles best WR will be too much for the Ravens to contain.

DeSean Jackson vs. Bal – His speed will be a factor in this one.

Torrey Smith vs. Look for the Ravens to have success going deep vs. the Eagles secondary.

Pierre Garcon vs. Stl – His deep speed will be an asset with RGIII throwing the ball.

Brandon Lloyd vs. Arz – If the Cardinals put Peterson on Welker, look for Lloyd to get deep.

Eric Decker vs. Atl – He’ll be more involved this week especially with the Falcons hurting in the secondary.

Malcolm Floyd vs. Ten – The Titans are shorthanded in the secondary.

Percy Harvin vs. Ind – Did you watch the Colts try and cover in Week 1? Not too good.

Steve Smith vs. NO – Smith is ALWAYS a menace to the Saints secondary.

Lance Moore / Marques Colston vs. Car – Both are 100 yard candidates with Brees throwing so much..

Randy Moss vs. Det – CB Chris Houston called him out. A few deep shots Sunday? We think so.

Denarius Moore vs. He was scratched in Week 1, but will be counted on heavily vs. the Fins this week. He’s a solid flex plan and fantasy sleeper.

1. Calvin Johnson Det - Megatron was the top fantasy football WR in 2011 (254 points) and won’t be relinquishing that title anytime soon.

2. Andre Johnson Hou - If the injury bug doesn’t reel its ugly head again, expect Johnson to once again emerge as top threat week in and week out.

3. Larry Fitzgerald Arz - The QB situation is the only thing holding him back from topping this list.

4. Greg Jennings GB – The top receiving threat playing with the top QB will lead to 1,300 yards and double digit TDs. Needs to stay healthy.

5. Roddy White Atl - With the projected development of Julio Jones, expect White to see less double coverage and thrive.

6. Hakeem Nicks NYG – The Giants top outside threat is coming off a broken foot in mini camp. He appears to be ahead of schedule and will once again be Eli Manning’s top receiving threat.

7. Mike Wallace Pit – The holdout is concerning, but when he comes back, which will be Week 1, he’ll once again be a top threat. No. 1 deep threat in the league.

8. Wes Welker NE - In a PPR league, Welker could end up top 5. Brady loves him, and Brandon Lloyd’s outside presence could release coverage underneath.

9. AJ Green Cin – People are very high on Green. He’s the Bengals top receiving threat and should only get better with experience. Look for 1200 yards and 10 TDs.

10. Victor Cruz NYG – The most dangerous receiver in the slot, who also has big-time play making ability. Expect another 75-85 catch season with 1200 yards and double digit TDs.

11. Julio Jones ATL – He could be poised to take a big jump into the top 5 by year end, but it’ll be tough to distribute balls in Atlanta. Regardless, look for a breakout season from the 2nd year man from Alabama.

12. Brandon Marshall Chi – He’s reuniting with Jay Cutler and the duo should put up big-time numbers like they did in Denver.

13. Dez Bryant Dal – There’s no denying his talent, it’s his mental makeup and off field issues which concern us. If he can keep those the off field issues under control, Bryant will finish a top 10 fantasy receiver.

14. Steve Smith Car - Cam Newton revitalized his career and he’s a borderline No. 1 fantasy receiver right back.

15. Jordy Nelson GB - 15 TDs in 2011 is hard not to notice. He’ll see that number come down in 2012, with between 10-12 TDs.

16. Miles Austin Dal – He was a clear No. 1 until an injury marred 2011 season. Needs to stay healthy to emerge as a No. 1 once again.

17. Brandon Lloyd NE - New England lacked a deep threat so they went out and brought in Lloyd. Tom Brady will hit him deep on multiple occasions.

18. Vincent Jackson TB – Josh Freeman can sling it and Jackson will provide the outside threat the team was lacking a year ago.

19. Marques Colston NO - He’s never the sexy pick, but he gets things done. He’s a solid No. 2 in fantasy football.

20. Jeremy Maclin Phi – The entire Eagles squad, outside of Lesean McCoy, struggled last year. He starts as a No. 2 receiver who could end up a No. 1 producer in fantasy.

21. Demaryius Thomas Den – Peyton Manning instantly raises his stock. Thomas is capable of a double digit TD season with Manning at the helm.

22. Percy Harvin Min – He’s a bit of an enigma, but the Vikings will rely on him heavily while they wait for Adrian Peterson to get healthy.

23. Stevie Johnson Buf – The Bills love to air it out and Johnson is the beneficiary of a lot of those passes.

24. Dwayne Bowe KC – Doesn’t seem happy in KC but could be playing to get out, which is good for fantasy owners. Bowe will want to put up solid numbers for a bigger payday.

25. Antonio Brown Pit – Ben Roethlisberger loves throwing his way and with Hines Ward retired, expect more mid range passes for Brown.
