Week 2 was a bloodbath of epic proportions. Large favorites such as New Orleans, St. Louis, Miami, Indianapolis and Baltimore all lost. Yours truly went out with the Saints. If you’re still alive, here are our top three picks for Week 3.

Top Pick

1. Seattle Seahawks vs. Chi – Stay safe. The 0-2 Seahawks get handed a gift when the Jimmy Clausen led Bears come to town. This won’t be pretty and the Seahawks should win by 20+.

Next

Houston Texans vs. TB – The Texans are another team looking to get a W on the board. They head home to face the Bucs and their rookie QB. Expect JJ Watt and Co. to force Winston into errors all day en route to the easy win.

Arizona Cardinals vs. SF – The Steelers pounded the 49ers a week ago and they’ll probably get pounded again here. Divisional games tend to be closer due to the familiarity of both teams but we expect the Cardinals to win rather easily.

The Patriots are a no brainer but you may want to keep them for a better week late in the season. The upsets of Week 2 are not likely to repeat themselves here.

It’s down the final stretch. Here’s our top three picks for the NFL suicide pool in Week 13.

Top pick

1. New York Giants vs. Jax – The Giants are riding a 6 game losing streak but Tom Coughlin has a way of keeping his team from throwing in the towel. This is also against the team where he first became head coach. Look for the Giants to pull out an easy win.

Next

2. Houston Texans vs. Ten – They’re going back to QB Ryan Fitzpatrick but have a decided advantage against the Titans. Look for the Texans D to rise up and force Zack Mettinberger into a few turnovers.

3. St. Louis Rams vs. Oak – The Rams D is starting to rev up and may get DE Chris Long back this week. The Raiders ended their losing streak a week ago and will start a new one here.

Le’veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, Jamaal Charles, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, Arian Foster

Tier 1

Matt Forte vs. Det – His value will come in PPR leagues. The Lions run D is tops.

Mark Ingram vs. Pit – Look for the Saints to pound the rock when they hit Pit.

Andre Ellington vs. Atl – The Falcons run D is worst in the league.

Eddie Lacy vs. NE – The Pats strength is its pass D. Lacy will top 100 yards and be used as a receiver.

Rashad Jennings vs. Jax – Jennings will top 125 total yards with a score.

Alfred Morris vs. Ind – Gruden will give Morris 20 carries and he’ll top 18 FFL points.

Justin Forsett vs SD – Expect the Ravens to feed Forsett the ball 20 times. He will top 18 FFL points.

Jeremy Hill vs. TB – Hill’s a low No. 1 since earning more playing time after Bernard’s injury.

Joique Bell vs Chi – Bell will top 80 yards with 2 TDs.

Denard Robinson vs NYG – New York’s run D has been shredded recently.

Tier 2

Giovani Bernard vs. TB – His carries will pick up in his 2nd game back.

Tre Mason vs. Oak – The Raiders rank 25th against the run.

Ryan Matthews vs. Bal – Baltimore poses a tough test which keeps Matthews a No. 2 / flex play.

Jerrick Mckinnon vs. Car – The Panthers still can’t stop the run. Look for 12-14 FFL points.

Fred Jackson vs. Cle – The loss of DT Phil Taylor took away the Browns’ most feared run defender.

Daniel Herron vs. Was – Brings additional value in PPR leagues.

Shane Vereen vs. GB – Vereen will put up 9 FFL points.

CJ Anderson vs. KC – He’s also a threat as a receiver out of the backfield.

Lamar Miller vs. NYJ – Miller comes in at a low No. 2 / flex play against the Jets run D.

Latavius Murray vs. Stl – Had a tremendous game vs. KC in a little over a quarter. He’s the main tailback now.

Bust

Isaiah Crowell vs. Buf – It’ll be tough sledding against the Bills run D.

Fantasy Sleeper

Fred Jackson vs. Cle – Still bouncing back from an injury but this will be a big week for Jackson. The Browns run D took a major hit when DT Phil Taylor went out.

It’s likely getting down to the wire in your NFL suicide pool and many are probably out after the Jaguars improbable upset over the Titans. For those still alive, here is our top three NFL suicide pool picks for Week 11.

Top pick

1. Detroit Lions vs. Pit – This game will be competitive, but the Lions will end up with the W. Something is missing from this year’s version of the Steelers and its D is a shell of its former self. The Lions are atop the NFC North and recognize the opportunity to win the division with QB Aaron Rodgers sidelined.

Next

2. Arizona Cardinals vs. Jax – Lightning won’t strike twice for the Jaguars. They’re back at home where they’ve been terrible so far, and that trend will continue against a Cardinals team with a talented D.

3. Houston Texans vs. Oak – The return of HC Gary Kubiak will energize this team and propel them to a win against a feisty Raiders team. However, QB Terrelle Pryor is dealing with a knee injury and if he’s asked to win by throwing the ball, that’s not going to happen at this time.

Note – if you’ve managed to keep the better teams around this late in the season, locks this week are Seattle, Cincinnati and Denver, although Kansas City comes in with a 9-0 record.

The main upset a week ago was the Houston Texans, who were crushed 38-13 by the St. Louis Rams as 7.5 point favorites. If you’re still alive, these are our top three picks for your NFL Suicide Pool in Week 7.

Top Pick

1. Carolina Panthers vs. Stl. – The Panthers D is a lot better than people realize. The Rams will realize this on Sunday as they will have trouble keeping QB Sam Bradford upright against an attacking defense. Offensively, look for QB Cam Newton to lead his team to the convincing win to move them to 3-3.

Next

2. Atlanta Falcons vs. TB – Winning on the road will be a tall task for rookie QB Mike Glennon. Winning at all has become a tall task for the Buccaneers who may be close to completely tuning out HC Greg Schiano. The Falcons are coming off the bye and a little healthier on the defensive side of the ball, and will beat their rivals pretty handily at home.

3. Miami Dolphins vs. Buf – The Bills are still ailing at QB and will find Miami a tough place to go into and win. The Dolphins are well rested coming off the bye and will force Buffalo into 2+ turnovers on Sunday as they cruise to the win.

Note – beware of teams on the road this week if you still haven’t used them. The Patriots, 49ers, Seahawks and Broncos all face teams that could very easily upset them.

1. Baltimore Ravens (+3) vs. GB – See money line bet.

Next

2. Houston Texans (-7.5) vs. Stl. – The Texans will get back to what they do best on Sunday: running the ball and playing solid defense. They’ll limit Schaub’s opportunities for errors and beat the Rams by at least 10 at home.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (+27) vs. Den – It’s just hard to see Denver keeping its starters in for the entire game.

4. Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) vs. SD – The Colts always have a chance with Andrew Luck at QB and are playing much better defensively than most anticipated. They’ll cover the point spread and beat the Chargers by at least a FG on Monday Night.

Rounding Things Out

Oakland Raiders (+8) vs. KC – The Chiefs will continue to win, but they haven’t been blowing teams out.

Seattle Seahawks vs. (-13.5) vs. Ten – The 12th man will make things very difficult for Ryan Fitzpartick and Co.

Cincinnati Bengals (-7) vs. Buf – The Bengals have been an enigma this season. Their defense is starting to get going and they’re facing QB Jeff Tuel this week.

Money Line Bet

Baltimore Ravens (+120) vs. GB – The Ravens have played their best ball at home, especially defensively. The Packers are 2-2, with both losses coming on the road, and will likely be without LB Clay Matthews in this one. Look for Baltimore to pull out a hard fought and low scoring game to move to 4-2.

After a week without too many surprises, and certainly no shockers, we move on to Week 6 of the NFL Suicide Pool.

Top Pick

1. Houston Texans vs. Stl. – Matt Schaub is playing horribly, and it’s costing the Texans. He now has four interceptions returned for a TD in as many weeks!

That being said, the Texans will bury the Rams at home. Schaub’s pick 6′s are not going to continue weekly and the Rams lack a running game, which makes them easy prey for the Texans D. Look for Arian Foster and Co. to move the ball at will against the Rams and for Houston to win by double digits.

Next

2. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oak – The Chiefs march to 6-0 will continue against the Raiders. While Oakland is more competitive in 2013, they’ve been better at home. This one will be played at Arrowhead. Look for a close game but for the Chiefs to pull away in the 4th quarter.

3. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buf – Even though this will played on the road, the Bengals D is coming into its own. And now they get to face QB Jeff Tuel, which has the Bengals pass rushers salivating. Offensively, Cincinnati will be able to move the ball on this Bills D and will put up 24 points, more than enough to get the easy win.

Note – The Broncos are 27 point favorites. If you haven’t used them already, save them for a later week.

1. San Francisco 49ers vs. Arz – The 49ers have given up 3 and 11 points respectively in the past two weeks. They’ll dominate the Cardinals at home.

2. Seattle Seahawks vs. Ten – Seattle is a very difficult place to play.

3. Houston Texans vs. Stl – The Texans still sport a stellar D. The Rams are not good on the road.

4. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buf – The Bengals will be facing a rookie QB.

Rounding Things Out

Chicago Bears vs. NYG – The Giants are turning the ball over 3-4 times per game.

Baltimore Ravens vs. GB – The Ravens are VERY tough at home, even against Aaron Rodgers.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oak – The Chiefs D will clamp down on Terrelle Pryor and Co.

Rounding Things Out

New York Jets vs. Pit – The Steelers have turned the ball over plenty to start the season and will struggle against an aggressive Jets D.

Indianapolis Colts vs. SD – The Chargers have suddenly begun to give the ball to opposing teams at an alarming rate.

Denver Broncos vs. Jax – The biggest fear is the garbage time yards and points.

Carolina Panthers vs. Min – QB Christian Ponder’s back which will mean 2-3 turnovers for the Panthers D.

Detroit Lions vs. Cle – The Lions D will get after statue-esque Brandon Weeden and force a few turnovers.

Cleveland Browns vs. Det- The Browns aggressive defense will force Matthew Stafford into a few mistakes.

Green Bay Packers vs. Bal – Even without LB Clay Matthews, the Ravens offense is a mess.

Potential Bust – Beware

New Orleans Saints vs. NE – They’ve been excellent in the team’s 5-0 start. Rob Gronkowski is back and this is a D/ST to avoid on Sunday.
