1. Drew Brees vs Atl – Sean Payton’s back, which is huge for the Saints offense. The Falcons don’t defend the pass well making Brees the top fantasy football pick in Week 1.
2. Matt Ryan vs. NO – The all-star cast of receivers is salivating at this match-up.
3. Tom Brady vs. Buf – Brady won’t have Gronkowski this week but it won’t matter.
4. Andrew Luck vs. Oak – The Raiders are going to make a lot of guys fantasy stars on a weekly basis and Luck, who is a legit stud, will torch them.
Not far behind
Colin Kaepernick vs GB – All this talk by the Packers about stopping Kaepernick and the read-option… is just talk.
Peyton Manning vs. Bal – The match-up is not great but Manning will be throwing more than handing the ball off.
Tony Romo vs. NYG – Big test for the Giants secondary early on. They were torched a year ago by Romo.
Rounding things out
Eli Manning vs. Dal – Manning will have his full complement of receivers back for the 1st time in a year.
Aaron Rodgers vs. SF – Very tough match-up on the road. Rodgers will post middle of the pack fantasy numbers at the stick.
Russell Wilson vs. Car – Expectations will be high and Wilson will deliver against the Panthers.
RGIII vs. Phi – The Eagles D is horrendous and lacking in the secondary. Expect some rust but RGIII will post 15-20 fantasy points.
Joe Flacco vs. Den – The Broncos are missing their top players on defense from a year ago and Champ Bailey’s status is uncertain.
Matthew Stafford vs. Min – It’s a good match-up on paper but the Vikings always play Stafford well. He’ll still throw for 250 yards and 2 TDs.
Potential Bust – Beware
Cam Newton vs. Sea –The Seahawks may have the best defense in football, and surely have the best pass D.

It’s tough to trust Woods playing with a rookie QB and with a difficult match-up. If Floyd is healthy, we would go with him. Rivers is familiar with him and he is his most comfortable wide out. Hopkins may make an impact vs. a poor Chargers secondary, but he’s 4th on the pecking order behind Johnson, Daniels and Foster, so the balls his way likely won’t be many.
