Best Bet
1. Green Bay Packers (+2) vs. Atlanta Falcons – See Money Line. This is also the best football bet on the board.
Next In Line
2. Cleveland Browns (-10) vs. Carolina Panthers – This is a large line for the Browns, but it’s justifiable against the Panthers. They might go back to Jimmy Clausen, who’s been awful, and are depleted across the board at many key positions.
The Browns are playing competitively and will romp at home on Sunday.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (+7) vs. New York Giants – The line seems especially high considering the Giants lost star WR Hakeem Nicks this week. Their receiving corps is severely short and Eli Manning has struggled in year’s past when defenses can cheat and play the run.
The Jags are flying high on a three-game winning streak and while the Giants should win, they’ll keep it close until the end.
4. Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Josh Freeman is playing exceptionally and has his Bucs at 7-3, but now comes a real test. The Ravens in their house are a different beast than topping the 49ers in San Francisco. Look for Baltimore to control both lines of scrimmage and to beat the Bucs by at least 10 on Sunday.
Rounding Out the List
St. Louis Rams (+4) vs. Denver Broncos – The Broncos are horrible. While they play hard for Josh McDaniels, his irresponsible personnel decisions have left this team dangerously thin on talent.
The Rams talent level is comparable to the Broncos, but coach Spags has them playing very well. They’ll keep this to within four and could sneak out with a win… at a nice payout (+170) on the money line.
Minnesota Vikings (+1) vs. Washington Redskins – The removal of Brad Childress will certainly have a positive effect on this once proud team. The players will play hard for Leslie Frazier and pull out a close win against the injury riddled Skins.
Philadelphia Eagles (+3) vs. Chicago Bears – The Bears have been stockpiling victories over lesser teams and face a hot Eagles team on Sunday. Look for Philly to control the tempo on both sides of the ball and for its defense to force Jay Cutler into one or two costly turnovers.
Money Line Bet
Green Bay Packers (+110) vs. Atlanta Falcons
This is a game for NFC supremacy through 11 games in the season. Both teams come in hot, but the Packers are hitting on all cylinders both offensively and defensively. The same can’t be said for the Falcons who have struggled mightily on defense.
The one advantage Atlanta has is this game will be played at home, but look for Green Bay to put on a top notch effort and walk away with the 24-17 win.
