Detroit Lions (+6.5) vs. New England Patriots – The Patriots are coming off emotional wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts in consecutive weeks. They’re due for a slight letdown. They’re also forced to travel to Detroit on a short week. The Lions come into this losers of three straight but they’re no walkover at home. We expect them to keep it close throughout.
New Orleans Saints (-4) vs. Dallas Cowboys – The Saints enter this red hot and face a Cowboys team that has won two straight for interim head coach Jason Garrett. It won’t become three. The Saints possess too much firepower on offense for Dallas to keep up. And on the other side of the ball, the return of S Darren Sharper has transformed the New Orleans D into one of the better units in the league and they’ll stifle Jon Kitna all afternoon.
New York Jets (-9) vs. Cincinnati Bengals – The Bungles are back. This team has now lost seven in a row and last’s week was the worst to date. After leading 17 points at the half, the were outscored 35-0 to the Bills and lost by 18. This season is a wash and the Bengals self destruct at some point in every game they play. Look for the Jets, who’ve won their last three games by the skin of their teeth, to waltz to an easy victory on Thanksgiving Night. This is a solid football bet.
