1. Aaron Rodgers vs. Seattle Seahawks
Aaron Rodgers is coming off a spectacular fantasy football performance with four TDs (three passing) and over 300 yards vs. the Steelers. The Seahawks are coming off a beat down at the hands of the lowly Bucs on their home field. Look for another stellar performance as Rodgers tries to lock down a Wild Card playoff berth.
2. Phillip Rivers vs. Tennessee Titans
The Chargers are hitting on all cylinders, and their passing game is leading the way. Rivers threw three TDs vs. the Bengals and has an easier assignment on Thursday. The improved Titans D still has coverage issues. Look for another multiple TD performance from Rivers with over 250 passing yards.
3. Drew Brees vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Saints have wrapped up home field in the NFC and will probably rest Brees sometime in the third or fourth quarter. That will be more than enough time to toss three TDs against Tampa.
4. Matt Schaub vs. Miami Dolphins
Schaub’s had the hot hand the past couple of weeks throwing for big yardage with a few scores. The Dolphins secondary is still vulnerable (three TDs to Vince Young), and we like Schaub to hit Andre Johnson on at least one bomb in Week 16.
Sleepers
1. Josh Freeman vs. New Orleans Saints
Freeman’s slowly learning the game and had a solid game out in Seattle in Week 15. The Saints defense is a bit banged up, and there’s no reason to think that starters will play the entire game. Freeman’s a solid fantasy sleeper for those in the finals whose No. 1 has a bad match-up.
2. Alex Smith vs. Detroit Lions
The Lions don’t possess much of a pass defense, and their pass rush leaves something to be desired. While the Niners will probably lean on Gore in this one, expect Smith to throw for at least two 200-250 yards with two TDs.
Others We Like
Kurt Warner vs. St. Louis Rams
Warner should light up his old team on Sunday. He didn’t make it through the full contest last time (concussion) and probably won’t this time as well (team clinched division), but in the time he plays, expect over 200 yards and two TDs.
Tom Brady vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Tom Brady’s really struggled to find his rhythm the past few weeks but has an excellent match-up here. It’s at home and against a team that struggles stopping the pass. Look for a few TDs to Moss and Welker on Sunday.
Ben Roethlisberger vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Steelers needed every single one of Roethlisberger’s 503 passing yards to beat the Packers on Sunday. He’ll need every passing yard again to beat the Ravens in Week 16. Baltimore lost another CB for the year so expect Big Ben to attack where they’re vulnerable.
A Few More
Peyton Manning vs. New York Jets
Brett Favre vs. Chicago Bears
Carson Palmer vs. Kansas City Chiefs
