The Niners strength on defense is vs. the run as opposed to the pass. This bodes well for Fitzgerald who’s been on fire the past month (outside of the game played with Leinart). Expect No. 11 to have another 100 yard game with 2 TDs under the bright lights in San Francisco.
2. Marques Colston vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons secondary is beleaguered and overmatched and Colston will run circles around this unit. Look for another 100 yard game and a long TD as Brees continues to rack up the yards.
3. Randy Moss vs. Carolina Panthers
Even with the offense’s inconsistency, Moss has remained consistent and hauled in another long TD vs. the Dolphins. He’ll prove too difficult to cover again in Week 14 and Brady will locate him deep on a few play action passes.
4. Andre Johnson vs. Seattle Seahawks
Johnson quietly finished with 99 yards and a TD in Week 13. This week he faces the Seahawks who rank 25th in the league against the pass. Schaub will exploit the mismatch No. 80 creates for a big game on Sunday.
Sleepers
1. Hakeem Nicks vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Nicks caught his 5th TD of the season against the Cowboys and is quietly earning more playing time with the 1st team. Look for Manning, hoping to avoid Asante Samuel’s side of the field, to target Nicks for a score on Sunday as he’ll prove too much for the Eagles 3rd CB to cover.
2. Louis Murphy vs. Washington Redskins
Gradowski’s ascension to the starting QB position has proved a boon to Murphy. He’s become the No. 1 option and caught two TDs – including a 75 yarder – against the Steelers on Sunday. The Skins are vulnerable to the deep ball, which makes Murphy a great fantasy sleeper.
Others We Like
Calvin Johnson vs. Baltimore Ravens
Johnson looks fully healed from his recent knee injury and had a big afternoon vs. the Bengals (123 yards, 1 TD). Look for him to get deep at least once against the Ravens secondary and finish with a big fantasy football afternoon.
Greg Jennings vs. Chicago Bears
Jennings best game of the season came in Week 1 when his long TD beat the Bears in the game’s final minutes. He also finished that contest with over 100 yards. Look for a repeat performance this week when the Packers head to Chicago.
Chad Ochocinco vs. Minnesota Vikings
Ochocinco has reverted to 2007 form and just rattled off 137 yards and a TD vs. the Lions. He’ll play a crucial role against Minnesota and top 100 yards with a score for the 2nd straight week.
