Now, if I just sign a contract that will ensure my own and my family’s financial security for the rest of my life, to the tune of $35M, you can bet the house that my employers’ phone number is in my fave 5, and probably in the top 3 of the speed dial, behind family and significant other. I want all lines of communication open at all times, and no mistakes that might lead to whatever transpired in the past few days.
Without further knowledge of the situation, everything is just speculative, but based on Burress of ’07, as opposed to Burress of ’00-’06, I do not foresee this issue lingering on and he should be ready to go when the Giants head to the Dawg pound for a Monday night game vs. Cleveland in week 5.
This sure does suck for Burress’ fantasy owners though, myself included. I’d love to call him and thank him personally although I’m not sure I’d get through…

Sir, I think you are self-delusional if you don’t believe this is a sign of things to come. Plaxico, like many other professional primadonnas, is more than happy to collect his paycheck from the Maras (or whoever is running the team now) and coast on down the road for the foreseeable future. Remember, his long-term deal came with a significant amount of up-front guaranteed money. This is just the first of many strings about to unravel with the NFL’s most overrated team in 2008.

His true character is starting to show again. Last year was an aberration, and with Coach Strahan out of the equation, Plexiglass will revert to his old self. Lets face it, this is just the tip of the iceberg. But look on the bright side Giant losers, I mean fans, at least you have Sinorace Moss waiting in the wings!
